ZITRO began in Puerto Rico in 2000 as a family business dedicated to the design and manufacture of custom kitchens and furniture.
For years, that experience was built through direct contact with clients, knowledge of the trade, and the conviction that each space should respond to the people who were going to live in it.
After Hurricane Maria, the company closed operations in 2018.
In 2025, Lionell Ortiz revived that legacy and created ZITRO DesignLab with a renewed vision: to unite more than two decades of experience with a more personal, artistic and technological way of designing kitchens.
Today, ZITRO combines the personal touch of a family business with the precision of specialized, high-performance manufacturing.
We design from the perspective of each home's lifestyle, develop each project with individual attention, and accompany the process from the first conversation to the installation.
We are not looking to repeat a formula.
